I've been watching this show about truck drivers from North America who go to India and try to drive in the Himalayas.
They are driving these trucks with high centers of gravity over roads that were scratched from the side of some of the world's tallest mountains.
And because it's India, they are driving on the opposite side of the road: you know, just to keep things interesting.
Unlike this photograph, the roads are not empty, they seem to be choked with traffic all of whom are in a mad rush to get somewhere and frustrated by the overly cautious North Americans.
There is no bunny slope, no opportunity to practice, to get to know the terrain. There is freight to deliver and schedules to maintain. The pressure is so intense that one of the veteran North America drivers with 30 years driving 18-wheelers over the ice roads in Alaska and Canada, was not able to make it out of Delhi. He threw in the towel and caught the next plane home.
Having the opportunity to work on your curves at your own pace is key and, thanks to Kim McIntyre and the Curves for Women location on North 21st St., one lucky bidder will have the chance to spend 3 months doing just that.
Curves for Women is located at 1222 N. 21st St. in Newark. Their phone number is 740-364-9033
